The Muresk Institute of Agriculture branch of Curtin University of Technology has a reputation for highly relevant teaching and research that meets the needs of the broad agribusiness industry and associated government agencies.

This is demonstrated by the continually high employment rate of Muresk’s agribusiness graduates – more than 94% gaining full-time employment in the sector in Australia and overseas within six months of graduating.

Established in 1926, Muresk now offers a range of innovative undergraduate and postgraduate programs to meet the changing needs of agribusiness practitioners and professionals.

Undergraduate degrees in agribusiness marketing, agribusiness management and farm management are taught from the Northam campus, situated on the 1 738 h Muresk Farm in the Avon Valley. Muresk’s courses in viticulture, winemaking, resource management of fisheries, horticultural management, aquatic science and aquaculture management are taught from the Bentley campus in Perth.

Muresk offers postgraduate students one of the best opportunities available in Australia to develop their expertise in a range of rural based disciplines. Postgraduate courses at graduate certificate and graduate diploma level enable graduates from any discipline to gain skills and knowledge in the areas of agribusiness management and marketing [as it relates to viticulture, horticulture, aquaculture and agriculture sectors], agricultural technology, wine business management, wine marketing and landcare. Students can study higher degrees by research at master or PhD levels.

Muresk also provides a consultancy service to the agribusiness sector and can design specific courses to meet the needs of government and industry groups.
